As Lhasa has supposedly quieted down, the anti-CNN.com crowd has gone off the deep end, that might be worth exploring more. The death threats they’ve been making towards Western media representatives stationed in China certainly haven’t gone unnoticed.

The sports minister of the northern Belgian region of Flanders said he will not attend the opening ceremony in Beijing, as it could be used for propaganda purposes.

To demand that all athletes boycott the Summer Games is cruel and unnecessary; let them go, if they choose to, but let them speak.(…) Perhaps only a consumer boycott will get the attention of American businesses.
